Ventilation rooftile, solar panel glue cell

The customer approached us to build an automatic glue cell. The previously single-component adhesive was replaced by a two-component material.

The line was operated with three operators. One placed the two basic products on the conveyor belt, one glued around the other. The second joined the two products and glued the joint around. The third unloaded the products from the line.

Due to the change in adhesive, the new material had to be mixed at a ratio of 1:2. We supplied our customer with Graco type bulk unloaders, which are suitable for dispensing the material, and the mixing was done with a Graco HFR, a volumetric mixer. The dispensing was done with MD2 applicator.

Thanks to the use of the robot, one operator filled the line and another took the finished product at the end of the line, the robot was able to reduce the cycle time by 50%.
